A run for a late-night snack at KFC in Westmoorings turned deadly when gunmen ambushed a car in the parking lot and opened fire on Thursday night-

CEPEP takes coastline clean-up to La Brea
CEPEP is now tackling coastal pollution. Having done the Manzanilla Beach, the workers will now be heading to La Brea for their next clean-up exercise.
Cepep chairman Ashton Ford said despite several warnings to the public about the hazard of pollution, this has continued over the years and it costs a lot to carry out such clean-up exercises. Read more here…

PM stands by Justice Ventour for CoE
Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has stood by Government’s appointment of Justice Sebastien Ventour as chairman of the Commission of Enquiry into the Point Fortin Highway land acquisition issue despite Opposition calls for Ventour to step down.

DPP Says Four Criminal Laws Possibly Breached In Ruel Reid-CMU Corruption Case
The opinion has been sent to the Financial Investigation Division (FID) which is leading the probe.
It has also been copied to the Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson.

The earthquake was registered as a 5.1 magnitude with an epicentre about 22km (14 miles) from the capital.

Srebrenica massacre: Dutch troops '10% liable' for Srebrenica deaths
The court said the state had 10% liability, as this was the probability that its soldiers could have prevented the killings.
Bosnian Serb forces killed a total of 8,000 Muslim men in the town of Srebrenica in 1995.
