Six HDC procurement officers sent home

The Hous­ing De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion (HDC) fired six pro­cure­ment and con­tract as­sis­tants in or­der to “out­source” their jobs to a sin­gle yet un­named con­sul­tant. Among those dis­missed is Car­rie-Ann More­au, the woman at the cen­tre of the sex­u­al mis­con­duct al­le­ga­tions made against for­mer sport min­is­ter Dar­ryl Smith. Read more here…

Netanyahu's victory is big news for Trump

With nearly all the votes in the Israeli elections counted, Benjamin Netanyahu appears to have won a fifth term as Israeli prime minister. While his Likud Party tied Benny Gantz's Blue and White with 35 seats each -- a remarkable showing for both parties -- his right-wing bloc will likely secure 65 seats, providing him a clear but still difficult path to negotiate a majority coalition. Brexit: UK and EU agree delay to 31 October

The new deadline - 31 October - averts the prospect of the UK having to leave the EU without a deal on Friday, as MPs are still deadlocked over a deal.
