CF Industries files antidumping petition in US against T&T
CF Industries Holdings, Incorporated, through certain of its production facilities, has filed petitions with the US Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission (ITC) requesting the initiation of antidumping and countervailing duty investigations on imports of urea ammonium nitrate solutions (UAN) from Russia and Trinidad and Tobago. Abdool-Richards: No Delta variant found in T&T
Principal Medical Officer Dr Maryam Abdool-Richards has dispelled claims that the Delta variant of COVID-19 is in T&T.
Speaking during the Ministry of Health’s virtual media briefing yesterday, she said symptoms of this variant include a dry cough and shortness of breath, which closely mirror symptoms associated with other variants of the virus.
She advised, “Once a person or an individual has any of those suspect symptoms…the common and the less common symptoms, they are advised to immediately seek medical attention.” Read more here…

Augustine slams autonomy debate: Robinson rolling in his grave
Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP) deputy political leader Farley Augustine said the debate on the "autonomy bills" in Parliament would have had former prime minister and president ANR Robinson "rolling in his grave."
Robinson, a Tobagonian, presented a motion to Parliament in 1977 on internal self-government.
However, Augustine said the debate in Parliament on Monday and Tuesday descended into a "cuss out" between the PNM and the UNC. Read more here…

CCP 100: Xi warns China will not be 'oppressed' in anniversary speech
China's President Xi Jinping has warned that foreign powers will "get their heads bashed" if they attempt to bully or influence the country. He delivered a defiant speech at an event marking the centenary of the ruling Communist Party on Thursday.

Top Trump Org executive surrenders to prosecutors ahead of expected criminal indictment
Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg surrendered to the Manhattan district attorney's office Thursday morning ahead of expected criminal charges against him and the company in connection with alleged tax crimes, his attorney told CNN.
